AXA Commercial appoints Mike Crane as SME & Specialty Director

AXA Commercial has appointed Mike Crane as Director of its SME & Specialty business
Mike has extensive experience across the market and brings a wealth of business transformation knowledge and expertise

AXA Commercial has today announced the appointment of Mike Crane as SME & Specialty Director following the departure of Deepak Soni in August. He will take up the role at the beginning of January 2025.

Mike spent more than eight years as Managing Director of LV= Broker, where he played a lead role in the business’ transformation following its acquisition by Allianz UK and the integration of Legal & General’s general insurance business.

Mike, who has also held commercial leadership roles at NIG and Aviva, was responsible for establishing and growing LV=’s commercial business in the broker market. His focus on digital transformation and improving technical capability will be invaluable as we continue on our journey to build a seamless digital customer experience as part of our Commercial strategy.

Mike is the current chair of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau.

Mike’s extensive market knowledge and experience will be a huge asset to the business at a time when we are focusing on improving the customer journey and integrating new technology to meet their needs and demands.
