AXA announced today that Paul Evans, currently Chief Executive, AXA UK & Ireland, is appointed to the AXA Group Management Committee (AXA’s senior executive governance body), with responsibility globally for the Group’s Life, Savings and Health businesses. Amanda Blanc will become Chief Executive Officer of AXA UK and Ireland. These appointments will be effective from 1 July 2016.
AXA to sell its investment, pensions and direct protection businesses in the UK to Phoenix Group Holdings

AXA UK announced today that it had entered into an agreement with Phoenix Group Holdings to sell its (non-platform) investment and pensions business and its direct protection business (“SunLife”). Completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals.
