Tradesmen lift the lid on cowboy customers

The crimes of cowboy builders are well publicised, but AXA’s latest study finds the rogue traders may well be out-numbered by rogue customers. Customers having a cavalier attitude towards tradesmen’s safety and wellbeing is common, as are attempts to belittle their expertise, but the worst behaviour would be considered serious workplace harassment in any other context.

AXA announces the appointment of Joyce Phillips as CEO of a new business unit dedicated to customer innovation and new business models. Phillips will also become a Member of the Management Committee of the AXA Group, effective May 10th.

A new study from business insurer AXA reveals that far from just gliding smoothly from in-house to freelance, most actually start a business in a field unrelated to their previous jobs, increasingly drawing on their hobbies for inspiration.
AXA joins a fourth* Government-funded autonomous vehicles project

AXA is the insurance lead in the CAPRI consortium which has just secured more than £4.2 million of funding from Innovate UK and the Centre for Connected & Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV). The project will deliver a pilot scheme that could pave the way for the use of connected and autonomous vehicles to move people around airports, hospitals, business parks, shopping and tourist centres.
