AXA announces change in Insurance leadership team

Gareth Howell, Executive Managing Director of AXA Retail, to leave the AXA UK and Ireland business on 28 February 2019
Laurent Matras, currently Managing Director for Personal Intermediary and Corporate Partners, will act up on an interim basis

AXA UK has announced a change to its Insurance leadership team with Gareth Howell, Executive Managing Director of AXA Retail, deciding to leave the UK and Ireland business at the end of February 2019.

Laurent Matras, Managing Director for Personal Intermediary and Corporate Partners, has agreed to step up to the role, subject to regulatory approval, on an interim basis as the company considers the longer-term options. He joins Jon Walker and Waseem Malik on the AXA Insurance leadership team with effect from 1 March 2019.
