- AXA UK has launched its annual Stride for Pride campaign to help raise awareness and bring people together
- Sarah Plumer, Senior Portfolio Analyst and Chair of the Pride network, listed as a Top 100 Gamechanger
AXA UK has launched its annual Stride for Pride campaign which encourages colleagues to come together to raise awareness and show support for the LGBT community. AXA’s Stride for Pride launched in 2019 and aims to show the LGBT community that they’re not alone and that there are people in their communities who want to support, help and celebrate them.
Last year, colleagues smashed the target of beating the previous years total of 13,500km and walked 16,500km. This year, AXA colleagues from across the globe will join forces to reach a target of 40,000km walked during June – that’s once around the world!
AXA UK is proud to be an inclusive employer and works to build a culture of belonging. In the workplace, we all have unique differences and being aware of these helps to eliminate barriers. When people feel accepted, it helps to create a more productive, motivated and happier workplace and at AXA UK, people are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
AXA UK is also celebrating Sarah Plumer, Senior Portfolio Analyst and Chair of the Pride Network, for being chosen for inclusion on the LGBT Great Top 100 Gamechangers 2022 list.
To achieve a place on the list, each person has had to demonstrate consistent involvement in diversity, equality and inclusion work, evidence their notable contributions and achievements, and demonstrate how they have inspired others. Each nomination passed an extensive judging process to secure a place on the final list.
The Gamechangers are people who are doing more – more for the community, more for their organisations and more for their colleagues. Sarah has been Chair of the Pride network since December 2020, inspiring people and campaigning for inclusivity across AXA UK and beyond.
